Following brisk sales of Oceanway Residences, the first residential condominium cluster in Boracay Newcoast, Global-Estate Resorts, Inc. (GERI) is launching another residential condominium property in the 150-hectare tourism estate in the northeastern part of Boracay Island.

Megaworld’s subsidiary brand GERI, known for tourism and leisure-oriented developments around the country, will build the Ocean Garden Villas, a three-tower residential cluster that offers refreshing views of the beaches and mountains of Boracay Island.

“This new residential development will have close access to Newcoast’s private beach and natural coves facing the morning sunlight. We hope to provide our residents a new and refreshing take of living in one of the world’s best islands,” says Jennifer Palmares-Fong, vice president for sales and marketing, Boracay Newcoast.

The low-rise, six-storey villa-inspired residential cluster will have 225 units ranging from one-bedroom to two-bedroom resort-type suites.

Ocean Garden Villas features a lap pool, outdoor lounge deck, in-pool lounge, wading pool, outdoor spa and a pavilion, complementing the beach and nature amenities of the estate.

The project is due for completion in 2021. GERI expects to generate around P1.8-billion in sales from this development.

Alongside the rapid development of Boracay Newcoast in this side of the island, GERI has put in place a sustainability program to protect Boracay’s beaches and natural environment.

These include the establishment of the township’s own Material Recovery Facility (MRF) that would recycle waste materials collected within the development; installation of Detention/Siltation Tanks for storm drainage outfalls to arrest soil sediments and debris from storm run-off prior to disposal; installation of estate’s own Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), effluent of which can be recycled and used as non-potable water for irrigation and fire reserve; installation of Rainwater collection tanks in buildings; use of e-jeepneys for transportation within the township; and the use of 100% LED and Solar LED Streetlights around the township.

“Sixty percent of the entire Boracay Newcoast is devoted to green and open spaces. Once completed, we hope that the township, which will be the new side of Boracay that compliments the White Beach area on the other side, will serve as a model of sustainable development for a truly world-class island,” explains Palmares-Fong.
