There’s a new destination in town that people are talking about. Featuring ‘first in the Philippines’ restaurants, expansive nightlife spots in the metro and vibrant architectural marvels, this new township in the heart of Fort Bonifacio is a magnet to those who want something new to go to and to be seen at. This is Uptown Bonifacio, Megaworld’s 15.4-hectare mixed-use development in the northern part of The Fort near Kalayaan Avenue and just around the corner of Bonifacio Global City.

Yes, it’s true: Canada’s most popular coffee chain recently opened its first branch, not just in the Philippines but in Southeast Asia, at the ground level of Uptown Mall. Tim Hortons is popular for its signature coffee selections and doughnuts. Since its opening a few weeks ago, Tim Hortons has been attracting curious fanatics from all parts of the metro. Believe it or not, the long queues never faded away up to now.
The only 24-hour weekend cinemas at the Fort
Located at the 3rd level of Uptown Mall, the state-of-the-art Uptown Cinemas boast of five world-class theatres with the latest screen and surround sound systems that are open 24 hours on Fridays and Saturdays. Enjoy movies after partying at Valkyrie even around 2am! Uptown Mall has been creating waves since it introduced the Ultra Cinema experience featuring spacious and plush reclining seats with sidetables and lights, and a push button system that includes a butler call that can provide you with overflowing popcorn and drinks. Two of the cinemas, on the other hand, feature the Dolby Atmos technology.
The largest dancing fountain at the Fort
One of the main highlights of Uptown Mall is its giant dancing fountain featuring a Las Vegas-style water, lights and fire shows that delight Uptowners every night. The outdoor fountain is located just right at the main entrance of the mall along 9th Avenue corner 36th Street. Diners of Tim Ho Wan, Flatiron and Ippudo at the ground level get the best views of the fountain show during the night.
Late night dining at Tim Ho Wan
You will never get hungry in Uptown Bonifacio because the Michelin Star restaurant Tim Ho Wan in Uptown Mall is open until 3AM everyday. This is the first and only Tim Ho Wan in the country that offers supper menu because of its extended operating hours. Of course, its award-winning popular pork buns are always available all throughout the day and night.
Illuminated Uptown Towers
If New York has the Empire State Building and Paris has the Eiffel Tower, Manila has the Uptown Towers. During the past year, the Uptown Towers have become an iconic landmark in the capital as it conveys important messages and occasions through its LED light design surrounding the towers. Every night, the two towers are illuminated with LED lights that can be programmed to project images or words to celebrate important milestones, successes and even to commemorate an event or occasion relevant to the Philippines and to the world. In June last year, the twin towers lit up into a Philippine Flag as the country celebrates Independence Day. Just a few days ago, the logo of Beauty and the Beast was illuminated as the country went crazy over the Disney movie blockbuster hit.
The iconic St. Gabriel The Archangel Chapel
Catholic devotees have another reason to enjoy Uptown Mall as the new, glass-clad chapel rises at the mall’s The Deck, overlooking the Ortigas and Mandaluyong skylines with some amazing views of Antipolo mountains on the east. Regular daily masses are celebrated in the airconditioned chapel, which is now becoming a major landmark of the mall.
Unique Food Hall
Uptown Mall is proud to have one of the best-designed food halls (certainly notches higher than a normal foodcourt) in the country today. The cozy ambience has been patterned after some of the world’s renowned food halls that offer well-planned choices of food and beverage. At present, the Uptown Food Hall is home to Binondo Wok, Birdhouse, BKK, Craft Salad, Pepper Lunch, Habitual Coffee, Sbarro and Steak Station. More choices are coming in the next few weeks!
Home of PH’s biggest nightlife destination
Whether you want to dance at Valkyrie, grab some drinks by the poolside at The Palace Pool Club, chill with friends at the Revel, dine at Café Naya or meet pals over beer at The Brewery, Uptown Bonifacio is the place to be! These clubs and nightlife spots occupy almost 7,000 square meters of party spaces in Uptown Parade, which is considered to be the biggest nightlife destination in the country.
Home of PH’s first The Dalmore store
If leather has Prada, Hermes and Louis Vuitton, the world of whisky has The Dalmore, which is considered to be the world’s definitive luxury single malt whisky brand. Its flagship store in the country recently opened in Uptown Parade. It is home to the most expensive collection of single malt whisky, proudly being displayed as the store’s centerpiece with a hefty price of P18-million.
Fort’s hippest residential towers
Surrounding Uptown Bonifacio will be residential towers that will have close access to some of Metro’s best restaurants and nightlife spots. First to be completed will be One Uptown Residence, which will have an underground link to Uptown Mall. Just across it will be the all-suites Uptown Ritz and the soon-to-rise Uptown Parksuites, which will be both facing the upscale dining and entertainment rows of Uptown Parade.
